TimeTECH‘s President and CEO and Audrey Bouwers – HR and Office Manager just came home from a week in Israel.
TimeTECH’s global head office is located in Tel Aviv where James and Audrey visited the new office building in the heart of the technology sector of Tel Aviv.
The goal of this trip was to look at how the two organizations can improve on operational efficiencies and build on global synergies. We found areas where we were able to eliminate duplicated processes and leverage improvements found in each other’s operations.
We opened the lines of communications to put a continuous improvement process in place.
Of course, after attending several meetings, there was some time to see the great sites including the Golan Heights Winery where a little wine tasting occurred. Golan Heights so happens to be a great client of TimeTECH and they make some incredible wine!

Once a company has dealt with planning attendance and absenteeism one must face the reality of what actually takes place. By reporting absenteeism on a day to day basis in the time and attendance software companies are able through the click of a mouse view attendance issues. Many companies deal with culpable and non culpable absences. Through the use of business intelligent software in combination with Time and Attendance this type of information is now at your fingertips. Visual Intelligence System for Time Analysis now allows through a dashboard to view who the employees are that have excessive absenteeism. TimeTECH‘s VISTA will allow management through key performance indicators an analysis of day to day and year to year absenteeism.
Balancing quantitative attendance data with qualitative information
A company’s attendance and absenteeism information allows great insight into an operation. The Time and Attendance software provides quantitative attendance data. Reporting is a tool that allows a company to be able to see accumulative statistical data. Through statistical reporting a company can produce how many man hours were lost against the expected standard. They are able to see percentage of absenteeism by employee, site, location, department and company on a whole. Management can then determine if an employee is above or below a plant or department average of absenteeism. A detailed report by employee can reveal the number of occurrences or hours spent one each absence type. Being able to identify an excessive absenteeism issue companies can initiate proper disciplinary actions. Disciplinary actions will allow an employee to see clearly that there is an attendance issue and be given the opportunity to correct the situation. The time and attendance reporting will allow administration to help resolve excessive absenteeism.
Automation is the key to monitoring attendance and absenteeism in the workplace. Time and Attendance software has evolved to use today’s technology to allow companies to plan and manage attendance. If the organization is one location or a geographically widespread large organization planning attendance and absenteeism through the Absence Planning software now becomes a simple task. Time and Attendance software allows management to report absenteeism on a day to day basis. Through the ability to track labour hours and labour cost, organizations are able to determine how much manpower is required at all operational times to have the company efficient. Through company policies, time and labour management software is able to calculate allowed absence accruals and report on an ongoing basis current and future forecasted balances. TimeTECH‘s Absence Planning and Absence Request software takes the occupational needs and company policy and seamlessly allows a company to know at all times their scheduled attendance and absences.
In a large organization that is spread throughout many geographical locations keeping control of your workforce may be difficult. Through the use of the internet or a company’s internal intranet Time and Attendance software is moving through barriers and allowing open communication between employees and management. Employees are now able to request an absence that will allow an email to be forwarded to their supervisor for approval. The Absence Planning software will then determine for a manager if their departmental or classification occupational requirements will be staffed to the appropriate efficient levels. The Absence Planning software will also determine if the employee based on company policy has enough time in their absence current or forecasted balance to be approved for the request. Visual warnings of being understaffed or a negative employee accrual balance will appear making the decision to approve a request by management a very simple task.
The Absence Planning Software allows a company to be able to view past information by seeing actual verses planned attendance and absences and future attendance and absenteeism on a yearly, monthly, weekly and daily view.

TimeTECH attended the 2009 SHRM World Conference and Tradeshow earlier this week.
We met a lot of great people from all over the world in the HR industry. Some of our new TimeTECH team members got the chance to represent TimeTECH at the show and did a fantastic job!
Next week, we will be attending the OLTCA / ORCA tradeshow at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The tradeshow will feature venders offering products and services catered to the long term health care and retirement industry. TimeTECH will be exhibiting at booth number 1310 where we will be showcasing our workforce management and time and attendance products.
Last year, the OLTCA / ORCA show was a very successful show leading to several implementations in a few long term care facilities.
