Yesterday’s “Busking For Change” was a great success. Many Canadian music artists were busking around Toronto in the efforts to raise money for humanitarian assistance to children in war affected areas of the world.

Below is a picture of Michael Williams – TimeTECH‘s Corporate Marketing Coordinator donating a cheque from TimeTECH. The funds that were donated were raised through our casual Fridays. Each and every bit counts. We hope that other companies will follow to help make a difference.

TimeTECH Gives Back

Over the last few months TimeTECH has been taking part in dress-down Fridays to raise money for War Child.

War Child is a charity organization that creates awareness and raises money to provide urgently needed humanitarian assistance to war-affected children around the world.

As part of TimeTECH’s social responsibility plan, we were able to raise $291.00 for War Child. – Good job TimeTECH!

If you wish to donate to War Child, and help TimeTECH meet our goal of $1,000 you can donate online by clicking here. – feel free to comment about your donation on the blog! Every donation counts and can make a difference.

TimeTECH is an official sponsor for the Shrine Circus in the GTA this year!

The Annual Shrine Circus is one of the largest fund-raising events sponsored by the Shriners. The Shrine Circus provides a quality, fun-filled, family experience with proceeds going to a great cause – the good work of Shriners in your community.

The Shriners belong to an international fraternity of approximately 450,000 members throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico and Panama. Founded in 1872, the Shriners are best known for their unique parades, their official philanthropy—children’s hospitals.

TimeTECH will be featured in the souvenir program along with a large banner at each of the Circus locations. As part of our sponsorship, we will be receiving complimentary tickets to the circus which most will be donated to a children’s charity so that children can share in laughter and fun.

By eliminating unnecessary paperwork and time cards, TimeTECH has been contributing to the wellbeing of our Earth.

It is amazing how much you can do around your working environment to cut back on paper.

Each small step will make a huge impact on our carbon footprint.

It is time to leave the dress clothes and tie at home, and wear our jeans to work!

Today is the first dress down Friday here at TimeTECH. Why are we dressing down? Well, we will be raising money for various charities throughout the year. From now until June, we will be raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society, and will be taking part in the Relay for Life Cancer Walk. Once we have completed that event, we will do our part in helping other charities!

There are so many people in the world that need assistance, we are trying to do our part, and to make other people’s lives just a little better. We will help fund disease research, build a home for people that are less fortunate, volunteer at charity events or try to save a life!

So if we show up to a Friday meeting in our jeans, you’ll know why!
